Why choose ENGIE as your energy provider ?
ENGIE is France’s leading natural gas supplier and the top provider of certified green electricity.
Every kWh you consume is backed by guarantees of origin, ensuring that the same amount of wind, solar, or hydro energy is added to the grid. Choose energy that’s both reliable and sustainable, trusted by millions of households across France.
Energy activation: service turnaround times when moving in:
When moving into a new home, ENGIE requests service activation from the relevant distribution network operators:
Enedis for electricity
GRDF for natural gas
If a technician visit is required, ENGIE will schedule an appointment with you. Either you or another adult must be present.
If energy is already active in the home, the average activation time is 5 business days.
In urgent cases, you can request same-day activation.
Note: If you have a smart electricity meter, activation may be completed the day after your request.
Make sure to submit your request at least 10 days before you leave ! And don’t forget to include:
your desired contract end date ;
your customer reference number (found at the top left of the first page of your bill) ;
your new address if you’re moving ;
your delivery point (PDL) for electricity or metering and estimation point (PCE) for gas — which you will find in your ENGIE online account or on your bill.
How do I cancel my energy contract?
The process is simple and free of charge. You can cancel your contract via your ENGIE online account or by clicking here.
Once your request has been validated, you’ll receive a final bill. This will only correspond to the subscription fee and energy consumed up to the effective date of your move out.
How can I find out the peak and off-peak hours for my home?
You can check your off-peak hours:
On your bill (under “Your energy contract with ENGIE”)
In your online account (under “My consumption” → “Analyze” tab, and at the bottom of “My contract” page)
